The HUB System communications manager forms the backbone of a networked OutBack power conversion system. The OutBack FLEXnet DC is the ultimate DC system monitoring device with integrated networked communications capabilities.
MATE SYSTEM DISPLAY & CONTROLLER
The MATE system display and controllers are complete management tools for your OutBack Power system. Through the use of a single MATE you can remotely manage and monitor multiple inverter/chargers, charge controllers and monitoring devices.

The HUB 4 and HUB 10 System Communications Managers are the backbone of your networked OutBack power conversion system. The OutBack HUB communicates stacking, load share and power save on/off signals. Interconnection cabling is standard Ethernet CAT5 with RJ45 modular jacks. Through the use of a HUB, your system is completely coordinated and managed by the MATE.
Available with either 4 ports (HUB 4) or 10 ports (HUB 10).
Specifically designed for industrial and commercial customers, the SunSpec compliant AXS Port Modbus/TCP Interface provides advanced connectivity with OutBack FLEXmax™ charge controllers as well as other OutBack devices, enabling remote system status monitoring, command and control. With the AXS Port Interface, users can securely access an OutBack power system anywhere in the world via an Ethernet connection using Modbus Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), and communicate directly to a single device, or to multiple devices, using OutBack’s HUB4 or HUB10 communications management components.
The optional AXS card for the Outback Flexmax Extreme allows Ethernet access to the charge controller using the Modbus protocol. The AXS card is intended for use instead of a system display (Mate, Mate2 or Mate3). The charge controller is not designed to work with both the AXS card and a display. The AXS card can be used for remote monitoring and upgrading over a network. The AXS card is identical in function to the AXS Port SunSpec Modbus Interface but they are not interchangeable inside the charge controller.
